Tadashi Sasaki (engineer) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Tadashi Sasaki (engineer)
is a Japanese engineer who was influential in founding Busicom, driving the deployment of the Intel 4004 microprocessor, and later driving Sharp into the LCD calculator market. Son of a teacher, Sasaki grew up in Taiwan and studied electrical engineering at Kyoto University, later working in Kobe Kogyo, the first Japanese company to manufacture transistors, and then in Hayakawa Electrical Industries, where he helped to develop electrical calculators. This eventually lead him to obtain American patent licences to fabricate integrated chips and thus the first commercially successful pocket calculator. His subordinates at Hayakawa company knew him as "Doctor Rocket" due to his hyperactive nature. ==References==
